Deployment Exploration Unit I & II explore dwelling as an ongoing, responsive and adaptive process–a verb, rather than a noun, or fixed condition. These portable shelters reflect conflicting patterns in human experience in relation to place; on the one hand the need for stability, order, continuity and community, and on the other, the need for change, mobility and flexibility and solitude.
